Safety Guidelines: All Dress Up to Calm Down weighted products are for therapeutic use only and they should not be considered toys. Please read these Safety Guidelines before using your weighted products.
USING YOUR WEIGHTED PRODUCTS
Adult supervision is recommended when using all weighted costumes and products. Stop use if user reports fatigue, pain or any discomfort.
• Recommended for children at least 3 years of age
• Weight should be added or removed per user’s needs.
-10% of total body weight is a recommended standard.
-Total weight should never exceed 10-15% of total body weight.
• Only one weighted product should be used at a time.
• Do not sleep in weighted clothing or with any weighted product unless it is a blanket.
• User should be able to remove weighted product on their own.
• Weighted products are not meant to be worn all day, only for short periods of time.
INSPECTING YOUR WEIGHTED PRODUCTS
• Inspect clothing prior to each use. Inspect both the outside and inner weighted pockets and weights.
• Look for loose stitching, ripped seams, fraying, torn or worn areas.
• If product is damaged, do not use until it is fixed or replaced.
CARING FOR YOUR WEIGHTED PRODUCTS
• Clothing is machine washable with weights removed on cold and then air dry. Weighted bags are surface clean only and air dry.
